Story Submission Terms & Conditions
Thank you for agreeing to submit a story for the #MomentsMatter campaign. We value your support in making this campaign a success.
In order to ensure you and the AASAS, have a clear understanding of what information AASAS is collecting when you submit your story and how we intend on using this information, we have set out a list of Terms and Conditions below for you to review before submitting your workplace story (“Workplace Story”).
This agreement governs the collection, use and disclosure of your Workplace Story for the #MomentsMatter (AASAS) public awareness campaign.
By clicking the “I accept” box at the bottom of the Terms and Conditions listed below, you agree that each of these Terms and Conditions will be binding on you for the duration of the #MomentsMatter campaign, or until they are no longer applicable, whichever is longer. In the Terms and Conditions the person submitting the Workplace Story, and the company or other legal entity on whose behalf they are making the submission, may be referred to as “you” or “your” and AASAS may also be referred to as “we” or “us”.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS:
The purpose of this Agreement and the #MomentsMatter public awareness campaign is to create a platform that provides examples of positive workplace environments with the goal of facilitating and promoting positive, respectful and safe work environments and addressing sexual assault and harassment in the workplace.
We may collect certain information about you, including your name, email and contact preferences along with the Workplace Story. By providing information to AASAS, you consent to all actions taken by us with respect to your information as long as they are in compliance with the current version of our privacy policy and data protection requirements, available at https://momentsmatter.info/privacy-policy, and all applicable privacy and data security laws, rules, and regulations.
You understand that to protect your privacy, we will treat all Workplace Stories and associated information as personal information.
You confirm that you have received the proper consent to share the Workplace Story with us and confirm that the Workplace Story you are submitting is accurate and true.
We understand and agree that we retain the right, in our sole discretion, to amend all or part of your story submission without your prior consent or approval in order to protect the privacy of the individuals discussed in the Workplace Story. We will use our best efforts to edit, revise or redact all personal information that could personally identify specific individuals mentioned in the Workplace Story. However, you understand that it may be possible that due to the nature of, or fact included in, the Workplace Story, a third party may be able to identify one or more individuals mentioned in the Workplace Story.
You agree that AASAS has no liability to you or to any third party in relation to the publication of the Workplace Story in its submitted or amended form and you will indemnify AASAS against any third party action relating to the publication of the Workplace Story in its submitted or amended form.
You agree that AASAS may determine, in its sole and complete discretion, whether or not any stories submissions will be used for any purpose, including being posted to the #MomentsMatter (AASAS) website or in any marketing or advertising materials.
You agree that AASAS may, in its sole and complete discretion, take down or remove your story submission after it has been posted to the #MomentsMatter (AASAS) website or used in any marketing or advertising materials.
In order to comply with our privacy policies, you acknowledge and agree that no person has a right to their name attributed to, or associated with, the Workplace Story.
You have the right, for any reason, to request that AASAS remove the Workplace Story you submitted from any and all public platforms in connection with the #MomentsMatter campaign. We will take all reasonable steps to remove your story from all public platforms, including the #MomentsMatter (AASAS) website and any and all marketing or advertising materials, within ten (10) business days from receiving written notice.
You acknowledge that you have read and understand these Terms and Conditions.
You represent and warrant that you have the right, power and authority to enter into this agreement with us, as well as the legal authority to bind any corporation on whose behalf you may be making this submission.
You accept these Terms and Conditions and agree that you are legally bound by them.
